Pleated Shades

My wife and I would like to make our house more energy friendly and maybe warmer, or cooler, depending on the season. Shades would seem more energy efficient to me, however, drapes are much cheaper, which for us is a big consideration.

I have brown hair with some blonde highlights. I have hazel eyes and am fair. When I go shopping for makeup, which shades should I choose in eyeshadow, blush, and lipgloss?

I have the Ivory one and I don’t know if its too light, I don’t want to open it yet, incase I have to take it back and swap it. Is the Nude one darker? Or is it just the ivory has slightly more yellow in it or something? I used to have Fawn and that was too dark, but these are the shades lighter. I have dark brown hair (Long!) & I want to lighten it a couple of shades to a medium/light brown.
I’ve used home colours before, but never bleach. Will I need to bleach it? More to the point, can I do it myself at home without burning my scalp off??!

We have casement windows from Pella that uses the shades with cords. The cords break after about 3 years. Therefore, I am wanting some cordless shades for casement windows. Does Pella make them? Where can I get them?

Regardless of what company makes the make-up, there’s AT LEAST 15 shades of white. There’s porcelin ivory, classic ivory, ivory, milk, vanilla, peach, beige, tan, olive, sierra, golden, bronze, toast and the list goes on. But when it comes to dark foundations, it’s just Caramel or Cocoa. What’s up with this? My skin color isn’t cocoa, it’s ebony and I have a HARD time finding my shade. Do the companies not realize that blacks come in other shades than caramel and cocoa? Why is this?

I have really pale white skin (like Nicola Roberts). What shades of eyeshadow do you think look good against it?

My Hunter Douglas window shades don’t raise or lower evenly. The cords used to lift and lower have become twisted. What is the cause and what is the fix?
They operate like mini-blinds (bunch up at the top when open). If I tie a knot as one answer suggested, what will keep the cord from becomming twisted again? Could my HD blinds be defective?

Now before you say I am racist you must know that I am not. It is just that I sat down the other day and have noticed that Black people are the only race in the world that come in different shades from dark skin to light to every shades in between. I hate to say it but other races from Caucasian (which I am by the way), Asian, Arab, and Hispanic are just plain.

I realize that there are many different shades of khaki out there. Some have different names such as "stone" khaki, "sand" khaki, or even "olive" khaki. But does anyone know exactly (or close to) how many shades of khaki actually exist? Thanks for your help!!!!

The color of blonde I like, there isn’t a store bought dye brand that makes it. It’s darker than medium ash blonde but lighter that dark ash blonde. I found a brand that has these 2 shades, and I think the 2 mixed together would make a really nice color. So what do you think? Can you do that as long as both colors are from the same brand?

I am 18 years old I used to be really light before and I liked my skin colour but for the past couple of years I noticed myself getting darker and I am assuming its due to my unhealthy diet. so what can I do to get 1 to 2 shades lighter like I used to be. some natural tips please! and umm what kind of diet plan helps u get lighter? I have a small living room and a bedroom, I have read that the wall should be painted with cool shades to make it appear larger. I don’t have idea of cool shades.

My style for the room is casual traditional. I like my faux 2" wood blinds on other windows, but not sure they’d work well on the french doors – maybe a thinner slat? I also like the look of some roller shades…any ideas?
